Lighting up Celebration Weekend

October 18, 2022

With the campus glowing in green, fireworks, and opportunities to celebrate all that has defined and continues to define ¹ú²ú̽»¨, the ¹ú²ú̽»¨ community came together for an exciting Celebration Weekend filled with fun, family, and friends.

This year’s festivities were particularly meaningful as ¹ú²ú̽»¨ marks its College Centennial during the 2022-23 academic year. In celebration of 100 years of creative thought, ¹ú²ú̽»¨ lit up Case Green in ¹ú²ú̽»¨ green for two nights. Saturday night also featured a vibrant fireworks display.

The traditional weekend welcoming ¹ú²ú̽»¨ families included opportunities to explore campus, tours of the and Art Gallery, faculty presentations, chances to learn about unique student experiences on and off campus made possible by the Zankel Experience Network and other programs, athletics competitions, networking opportunities, receptions for first-year students, a Filene Scholar concert commemorating Helen Filene Ladd '22, and much, much more. About 600 families and 2,000 people participated.

¹ú²ú̽»¨â€™s origins extend to the Young Women’s Industrial Club founded by Lucy ¹ú²ú̽»¨ Scribner in 1903. In 1922, the New York State Board of Regents officially recognized the institution’s collegiate status, and ¹ú²ú̽»¨ came into being as a fully accredited, four-year institution of higher education.
